2025 GMC Canyon
The 2025 GMC Canyon offers an updated platform in the latest iteration of this midsize truck. The Canyon blends power with refined touches that make it stand out on the road and give drivers the flexibility to handle daily commutes or weekend getaways with ease. Whether you're looking for a car to take on off-road adventures or just a comfortable ride in the city, the Canyon offers trims that cater to every type of driver.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
GMC's 2025 Canyon comes in three variations. The base Elevation trim offers standard two-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive. Elevation variants include 18-inch Dark Grey-painted aluminum wheels, body-color door handles, cab-mounted cargo area lamps, and black-painted mirror caps. The AT4 model has standard 4WD and has a two-inch factory lift and 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory Mud Terrain tires to tackle difficult terrain with ease. The upscale Denali also includes 4WD. It features 20-inch diamond-cut Dark Grey aluminum wheels and numerous chrome touches, such as 5-inch rectangular assist steps, door handles, and mirror caps.
Engine (Power)
Every 2025 Canyon is powered by a 2.7-liter TurboMax inline-four engine that delivers 310 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and class-leading 430 pound-feet of torque available at just 3,000 rpm. An eight-speed automatic transmission provides smooth shifting whether on highways or tackling rugged trails.
Performance
The 2025 Canyon offers surprising agility for its size. The AT4X AEV accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.4 seconds. Responsive steering and solid braking make this truck feel nimble in most conditions, and the 4WD system helps the Canyon drive over challenging terrain with confidence. Most trims have a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds, and even specialized versions maintain strong numbers. The AT4X is rated for 6,000 pounds and the AT4X Edition 1 manages 5,500 pounds, which is enough for most recreational or work needs.
Interior
The Canyon's cabin blends comfort and technology. All models feature a standard 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. The Elevation and AT4 trims come with an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, and the Denali variant upgrades to an 11-inch display. Wireless phone charging comes standard on AT4 and Denali models, complementing the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available on all trims. Optional features include a head-up display, a rear center armrest, ventilated driver and front passenger seats, and wireless phone charging.
Safety Features
GMC includes the Canyon Pro Safety package with every 2025 Canyon, which includes forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, IntelliBeam automatic headlamps, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and front pedestrian and bicyclist braking. GMC has also added the Canyon Safety Plus Package in all 2025 models. This package incorporates rear park assist, rear cross-traffic braking, and blind-zone steering assist with trailering. Technologies such as a 360-degree camera, underbody cameras, and a tire pressure monitoring system are available.
