2025 GMC Sierra 1500
The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 offers power, advanced technology, and genuine comfort. This full-size truck demonstrates GMC's ability to build vehicles that can handle the toughest jobs while being surprisingly luxurious. Whether hauling equipment to job sites or taking the family on a cross-country adventure, this versatile pickup delivers capability without compromising style or refinement.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
For 2025, the Sierra 1500 comes in eight trims: the Pro, SLE, Elevation, SLT, Denali, AT4, AT4X, and Denali Ultimate. The Pro brings a clean, work-ready design. The SLE and Elevation add body-colored trim for a polished look. The SLT includes chrome accents and full LED lighting. The AT4 sports 20-inch machined alloy wheels with Carbon Grey Metallic accents, while the AT4X adds an American Expedition Vehicles steel front bumper with winch capability. The Denali makes a statement with its chrome grille and optional 22-inch wheels, and the Denali Ultimate provides luxury.
Most models feature the six-function MultiPro Tailgate that adapts for cargo, work space, or tailgating. Higher trims include motion-activated exterior lighting, making nighttime arrivals safer.
Engine (Power)
The Sierra offers four engine choices. A 2.7-liter TurboMax four-cylinder engine delivers 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while a 5.3-liter V-8 makes 355 horsepower and pairs with a 10-speed automatic.
A 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel brings 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. A 6.2-liter V-8 leads with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This engine works with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The 6.2-liter V-8 Denali Ultimate races from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds. Towing maxes at 13,300 pounds with the Duramax diesel. The 5.3-liter V-8 pulls 11,200 pounds, while base models handle 9,500 pounds, covering most needs.
AT4 and AT4X models tackle trails with a 2-inch lift, Rancho monotube shocks, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory mud tires, hill-descent control, and skid plates. The AT4X adds front and rear locking differentials and Multimatic DSSV dampers that balance driving comfort with off-road capability.
Interior
The Sierra Crew Cab offers abundant head and legroom, particularly up front. From the SLE up, a responsive and sharp 13.4-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster dominate the dash. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, and the intuitive layout keeps controls simple.
Material quality increases with each trim level. Denali models include genuine open-pore wood, patterned aluminum accents, and 12-way adjustable seats for precise comfort. The Denali Ultimate takes luxury further with remarkably soft perforated leather 16-way adjustable seats with massage functions. GMC has mastered blending capability with luxury.
Safety Features
Every Sierra includes essential safety technology, including forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Optional blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors simplify driving.
Upper trims feature Super Cruise hands-free technology that functions while towing. An available camera system provides 13 views around the truck for parking or trailer hitching. Select models offer a 15-inch head-up display that projects information onto the windshield.
